What a fun weekend in the Village!

The weekend kicked off with our second annual Light Up the Night Parade. Classes, clubs and organizations, the fire department and local businesses, decorated vehicles with purple lights and paraded from the High School, down Main Street to Caroline Field. Music, laughter and fun, filled the streets of Port Jeff!

Saturday kicked off with the Educational Foundation's Jill Nees Russell Power of One Family Fun Run.

The Fun Run started in Harborfront Park with a presentation to this year's honoree, Dr. Bob Neidig, Superintendent of Curriculum and Instruction. He was presented the Power of One award with a beautiful speech by Peter Hutchinson, a member of the Royal Ed Foundation. The run began with the sound of the Fire Chief truck siren and the participants then coursed through the village and ended in the "bowl" at the High School where they each received a medal.

Kids, families and friends enjoyed this event and made it to the finish line just before the first rain drops began to fall.

Our top four fastest runners were Parker Hutchinson, Leilani Von Oiste, Jim Von Oiste and Braeden Rickard. Congratulations to all our participants!
